Konjička Sehara

The Folklore Festival “Konjička Sehara” contributes to a better understanding of differences, as well as the recognition of similarities among various peoples (nations) who preserve and nurture different customs, along with their material and intangible heritage.

Konjička Sehara is an opportunity to present and discover the richness of local customs from various regions and cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as from other countries whose participants perform in Konjic. We are honored to welcome to Konjic performers of traditional dances from Turkey, Russia, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, and other countries, alongside our local performers from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Konjička Sehara event is an opportunity for young people to realize how important it is to know their own customs, and to see how much the community values the presentation of cultural expression through song and dance that has developed throughout history — so that they themselves may devise ways and methods of preserving, promoting, and protecting customs and tradition.
