Carnival of Children’s Smiles

If you find yourself in Konjic during the last week of the year, you will likely witness the city’s signature New Year’s cultural event. This is the “Carnival of Children’s Smiles” — the most enchanting New Year’s celebration in Konjic — in whose activities and program an ever-growing number of little ones participate year after year. This event brings joy to children, bringing together their interests, skills, and excitement through the shared spirit of happiness, play, and surprises.

The event is typically supported by the City of Konjic, the Konjic Police Administration, companies, shops, media, citizens, and parents. Creative activities in Santa’s workshop, cheerful music, smiling faces of children and adults alike, colorful costumes, gift packages, and additional surprises are all staple features of the carnival each year, alongside the traditional parade through the city.

In case of bad weather, there is never any cause for concern, as the organizers always have a backup plan in place to satisfy the wishes of the little ones who eagerly and joyfully await the start of the carnival.
